The kindness of strangers will always make us smile.
An Okotoks family answered a call for an unlikely item from an uncommon place.
Former Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi put out a message on social media requesting information about a children's toy.
I have a 9-year old pal with special needs who loves his truck. But it has stopped working and they don’t make them anymore. Anyone have one they would be willing to part with to make him happy? pic.twitter.com/4MaeMHgfsJ

Cue an Okotoks family who stepped up to the challenge and dropped off an identical toy less than a day later.
Nenshi took to Twitter to thank the local family.
UPDATE: a beautiful family from Okotoks dropped off the truck today making a little guy very happy. This website can actually do some good sometimes! And we do live in a place where people care for one another. Never forget that. https://t.co/DWULfpkh73 pic.twitter.com/A3nZclEYy5
