We are now in October but what a busy September just came to an

end.  From balloons to cars and cool trucks to a spelling bee and

Culture Days events, it has been a fun filled start to fall.

As the leaves turn various colors it is usually sad for me,

(being a golfer all summer) it is kind of sad to think there

will be no more hot summer evenings and camp fires until

next year.  The positive part of fall is for some hunting,

playing in leaves just raked (for the youngsters) and all

of the fall soup recipes to warm us through the Autumn.

The local Junior B hockey team, The Flyers have fired

back up and they just won 2 of 3 games this weekend.

Try taking in a game most Friday nights at 8:15 at The

Bob Snodgrass arena.  The walking track at the Cargill

Fieldhouse might be an alternative to the colder weather

along with the nice warm pool and sauna and hot tub that

go a long way to warm up bodies as it gets cooler outside.

Finally, I wanted to mention the High River Chamber will hold

an All Candidates Election Forum October 11th

at The Memorial Centre beginning at 7pm.

That's a wrap for today, enjoy our High River.

October is Small Business Month, support your small town business and services.)
