This weekend was the Southern Alberta Music Festival at Aspen Crossing.

(The Crowd Watches The Retros Perform On The Calgary Stampede Stage.)

The Music Festival is a charity event in support of Stars Air Ambulances.

I attended the event on Friday, August 5th and it was a great time!

Everyone in attendance seemed to be having a great time and many of the spectators were also camping over at the location.

General admission tickets for the two days were $80 and for the pasture camping they were charging $45 for 2 nights.

Overall, for two long days of music and entertainment, the tickets were a steal of a deal and I encourage those interested to check it out for themselves next year!

Friday night’s lineup included The Retros, High Steppin Daddy, Lyndsay Butler, and Drew Gregory.

All of these acts kept everyone entertained throughout the night and many fans sang along when the Retros played all the classics and Lyndsay Butler performed her hit tunes.

Saturday’s lineup included, Chet Defreese, Richard Rapatel, Steel & Timber, and plenty more!

The Festival includes numerous genres of music such as, country, blues, rock and roll, and folk.

So, next year make sure to mark your calendar for the 5th Annual Southern Alberta Music Festival!
