The Foothills School Division is counting past huit.

By this time next year grade nine french immersion should be in High River.

Local President of Canadian Parents for French, Adam Vyse,  says they'll keep extending the k through eight program...

"The plan will be to have french immersion from Kindergarten through Grade 12. So next year that the class would be scheduled to go to the high school"

Vyse says the board hasn't decided if they'll keep the grade nine's at Senator Riley Junior High or start an eight-nine split at Highwood.
