Eagled-eyed Albertans have been scouring each new episode of The Last of Us looking for familiar sights.

The HBO show was filmed across Southern Alberta in 2021 and 2022, and a few local sights have already been shown.

High River residents, for instance, would recognize Evelyn's Memory Lane Diner in the first episode.

Luckily, keeping track of the show's filming locations just got a lot easier.

Travel Alberta has launched a map showing pinpoint locations of where Joel and Ellie's journey was filmed, which episode it was shown in, and what role the location played in the show's story.

It's updated weekly as new locales are shown during each new episode.

So far, after just two episodes, six pins can be seen in and around High River.

Another four can be seen in Fort Macleod.

Though the production did come to Okotoks in early 2022, it has yet to be seen in the show.
