Toronto's John Epping got the best of Calgary's Kevin Koe in draw nine of the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling WFG Masters in Okotoks, Thursday, October 27.

Epping dropped Koe to 1-and-2 with a 4-2 win.

The rough ride for Ontario's Glenn Howard continues as well, as he fell to 0-and-3 thanks to a 7-4 loss to Newfoundland's Brad Gushue rink, skipped by Mark Nichols.

Nichols moves to 3-and-0 and a tie for first in the men's standings with Saskatoon's Steve Laycock.

The final men's game had Winnipeg's Mike McEwen edging Scotland's Kyle Smith 6-5.

Two games on the ladies side as Korea's Eunjung Kim moved to 3-and-0 with a 6-5 win over Ottawa's Rachel Homan.

And Winnipeg's Kerri Einarson got her first win beating Sudbury's Tracy Fleury 7-5.
