The Flyers were at home on the weekend and on the road and in both games they looked

to be in fine form with a 5-4 win over the Copperheads on Friday at The Bob Snodgrass

and a 5-1 victory in Coaldale on Saturday.  The Flyers now lead the HJHL Series 2 games

to 1 and have a chance to clinch at The Bob Snodgrass Friday at 8pm.  GO FLYERS!

The Okotoks Oilers went to Camrose and tied a record in the AJHL with their 21st victory

in a row.  The Oil now are off to Canmore for a Thursday game in which if they win will set

the record for most wins in a row.  With the win in Camrose The Oilers have secured top

spot and home ice advantage through the playoffs.  Congrats OILERS!

The Bisons who compete in the HJHL dumped Cochrane on the weekend and will now battle

the winner of the Coaldale/High River series in the next round.  Congrats to the Bisons!

Today is NHL Trade Deadline Day, I am hoping my Leafs with the addition of a couple of Canadian

throw aways will be stronger but I still think they need a defenseman, Ottawa is Carlsson free?
