The Lomond Lakers are the lone local team hitting the ice Friday, November 2, in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

They're in Airdrie to face the Thunder, and chances are the Lakers are still having nightmares about the 15-1 beatdown they took at the hands of the Thunder in their first meeting back in Claresholm two weeks ago.

Expect a much closer game this time around.

The High River Flyers are on the road this weekend as they make their way to Three Hills for a date with the Thrashers Saturday, November 3 and then to Blackfalds to play the Wranglers Sunday, November 4.

The Okotoks Bisons are in action Sunday, as they're on the road to Medicine Hat to tackle the Cubs.
