It's Election Day in Diamond Valley

It's an historic day for the towns of Turner Valley and Black Diamond.

It's election day, when the first amalgamated Diamond Valley town council will be determined.

There are two men running for the mayor's seat on council: current Turner Valley Mayor Barry Crane and Randy Williamson.

As for town council, there are eleven candidates for the six spots around the council table.

Voting goes at the Oilfields High School in Black Diamond and the Flare and Derrick in Turner Valley from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The amalgamation takes effect on Jan. 1, 2023.
