The Holy Trinity Academy's 26th annual Knights Classic Sr. Boys basketball tourney was full of exciting drama over the weekend.

Both Okotoks schools in the eight-team tournament performed very well.

The HTA Knights kicked off the tourney on Friday at 2 as they beat Bert Church from Airdrie 77-61 and then took on the always-tough Catholic Central High school from Calgary.  The Cougars ended up beating the Knights 63-53 sending the Knights to the bronze medal game.

And talk about excitement, after four quarters the game bronze medal game was tied up at 62 sending them into overtime.

Unfortunately, the Knights lost 71-67 just missing out on the bronze medal.

Catholic Central went on to win the gold medal over Medicine Hat High.

The other Okotoks team in the tourney also had an excellent performance in front of hometown fans.

The Foothills Composite Falcons lined up against Archbishop O'Leary in their opening game on Friday night.

It just wasn't meant to be for the Falcons as they lost by only 2 points.

The Falcons next faced W.H. Croxford from Airdrie and annihilated them 93-67 and moved the Falcons into the consolation final Saturday afternoon.
