A new Town Plan for High River is about to be written but there's still time to have your say.

A number of community events are going to be held this month to gather feedback on the plan.

It includes imagining High River in 2042 to completing a roadmap for how the town grows and develops.

An Open House is set for Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Highwood Centre from 4 to 8 p.m.

There will also be drop-ins at the rec-plex and library, and other chances to speak with the Town Plan Team.

Some of the big themes and ideas already brought forward are available for viewing on the Town's website or through paper copies available in the Town Hall lobby.

The goal is to complete the plan in time to begin implementation in 2023.

Community Events scheduled so far include:

  • September 15 from 4 - 8 p.m.
    • Evening Open House, Highwood Centre. Drop in to ask questions and hear from Town Plan Task Force community representatives.
  • September 17, 9 a.m. to Noon
    • Drop into the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex to talk to the Town Plan Team
  • September 20, 10 a.m. to Noon
