On Saturday August 6th, the High River Hospital Auxiliary hosted their Annual Barbeque Fundraiser.

The weather throughout the day was unfortunately a mixture of rain and thunderstorms however, that didn’t stop the volunteers from raising money for their cause.

In the end, the volunteers raised $263.10 from their Barbeque which was held at the High River Sobeys.

The High River Hospital Auxiliary fundraises money for not only the local hospital but, surrounding health clinics and senior homes.

Some of their funding highlights throughout the year include, purchasing a hematology analyzer worth $46 144 for the High River Hospital Laboratory and donating $40 000 to the High River Cancer Clinic.

The High River Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers admitted that it takes a lot of work and that every cent raised counts.
