The long-awaited, much anticipated construction of the Hampton's Bypass road gets underway Monday in High River.
The road connects 2 Ave. S.E. and Hampton Boulevard with 2 Ave. N.E. and Hampton Hills Drive.
The improvements include traffic circles at each of those intersections allowing a free flow of traffic.
The road will be closed throughout the construction process although access to the sub-division will remain open.
Each of the two intersections will be closed, one at a time, to construct the "mini-roundabouts."
The north intersection will be done in early July and the south intersection in early August.
It's expected to be complete in early fall and comes with a price tag of just over $2 million.
