The meat of the chuckwagon season gets going Wednesday, June 27, in Ponoka with six days of racing at the Stampede there before the drivers head to Calgary for 10 days at the Rangeland Derby.

High River's Jason Glass says this is the best time of the season.

"High River, Ponoka, Calgary, they're all very important. You know there's lots of money here and we get lots of people watching, my sponsors are going to be here. So, it's time. Time to put it together and get real serious."

The chucks run Wednesday through to the "Dash for Cash" final in Ponoka, Monday, July 2.
