Four big nights of chuckwagon racing get going     Thursday in High River with Guy Weadick days firing up for another year.

High River's Jason Glass has been running hot this year and says he's excited to be racing in front of the home town fans.

"It's always good to be home. We've been away for a little while now at the start of the year. It's great to be home! We'll have lot's of friends and family out and I can't wait to get going. The horses are ready and we're just at home trying to get organized and rest these boys up for a big night on Thursday."

Glass is third in the world standings, just 6.5 points back of the leader Kurt Bensmiller.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland is 16th, while High River's Jordie Fike is 28th after a slow start to the season.

Defending champion Mitch Sutherland is 19th in the world and is coming in off an 11th place showing at the Medicine Hat Stampede last week.

The chucks run Thursday through Saturday at 7 o'clock, with Sunday's finals going at 4 P.M. at the High River Ag Grounds.
