On Wednesday afternoon, local first responders gathered at the Okotoks Firehall on Milligan Drive to pay respects to those who have offered their lives for their country.

The Remembrance Day ceremony included a brief introduction from Okotoks' Fire Chief Trevor Brice, with other several traditional acts of remembrance, including Last Post, the lowering of the flag, and two minutes of silence.

Those participating included RCMP officers and fire personnel, with around 16 others in attendance, including a handful of local paramedics.
