High River's youth street hockey tournament 'Fury in the Foothills' is coming back.

It's happening once again in the parking lot behind Boston Pizza on Saturday, June 11.

Committee member Pam Hurst says they still have room for more teams to sign up.

"They can be co-ed teams, or there could be an all-girls team competing against an all-boys team."

Hurst says it's a non-contact tournament for ages 7 to 15.

"So, we have five divisions and they go U7 up to U15 so each division is a two-year age range. We have room for six teams per division so that would be a total of thirty teams."

It's the first time since 2019 the tournament's been a go.

The cost is $150 per team and teams need to have at least five players but can have six including the goalie.

Hurst also says they could use some more sponsors and volunteers for the non-profit group.

The price does include a hot dog, a bottle of water and a bag of chips courtesy of the Kinsmen.

And the all-important deadline to register is Wednesday, June 1.
