Young Okotokians will be enjoying the Okotoks Water Spray Park over the next few months

Although it started off a little rainy, it's looking like summer is off on the right foot here in the Foothills.

Expected to be a dry summer compared to past years, temperatures are expected to hit the 30 degree mark within the first few days of 'Summer 2015.'

Always a popular summer activity, some Foothills residents we spoke to say they are ready to haul their trailers out for the summer.

Surprisingly, many of the parents we spoke to say that a big family trip is most likely not in the works this summer.

Popular summer time events in the Foothills include day trips across Southern Alberta to discover new towns, a drive out to the Big Rock, and horse riding trails around the Foothills.
