A Foothills man is facing charges after he was pulled over in a stolen truck.
RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit were investigating a property crime in Mountain View County on Monday (April 22) when they came across a white GMC Sierra with an obstructed license plate towing a flat deck trailer and skid steer.
After being pulled over on a traffic stop RCMP determined that the GMC Sierra was stolen from Crossfield, the black tilt deck trailer was taken from Calgary and the skid steer was stolen from Okotoks.
Another angle of the stolen property recovered on April 22 (Supplied by: RCMP Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit)43-year-old Clayton Whaling, a resident of Foothills County, was arrested and charged with the stolen property with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $3,000.
Whaling was released after a judicial interim release hearing and has a date with the Alberta Court of Justice on May 23, 2024, in Airdrie.
