The High River Flyers are bringing back some toughness next season in the form of 6'4" Brennan McPherson.

McPherson, playing in his third season with the Flyers, adds a lot of physicality to the team and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty leading the Flyers in penalty minutes last season.

Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Colten Hayes says he brings lots to the team both on and off the ice.

"What he brings off the ice in the locker room, being that team guy that he is and having that will to win is very hard to find in an individual nowadays and he's got that. We are very happy that he is coming back."

McPherson also has no-problem on the ice finding 32 points in his 30 games played with the Flyers in the 2019-2020 season.

Hayes says his physicality helps him find the net while helping the Flyers battle away from the net.

"He does all the little things, and the best thing about him is he's not scared to go to the front of the net to pay the price to score, that's where he's got most of the goals he has with us over the last two years. He's on the first unit and plays big minutes and eats up big minutes so we are expecting that this year as well."

McPherson says his choice was pretty easy after Sniher and Hayes returned to the team.

"Its really exciting, with Colten coming back to coach again and Layne, having all three of these guys back with Jakob as well it's going to be an exciting year."
