The High River Brewing Company Flyers lost their opening game to the Cochrane Generals 3-0 last night in Cochrane.

The Flyers are now in a do or die situation as it's a best of three series.

The Generals scored once in the first period, added another goal in the second and then scored a short-handed empty netter with just under three minutes left in the game for the win.

Flyer's goalie Parker Forrest was peppered with 37 shots, saving 35 of them.

The Flyers headed into the game riding a seven-game winning streak while the Generals were on a four-game losing skid.

Neither team scored on multiple power plays with the Flyers going 0 for 7 and the Gens went 0 for 6

Game two of the HJHL series goes Thursday night in High River at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex with a start time of 7 p.m.
