A big night for the High River Flyers this Friday as they'll celebrate the life of former Captain, Eli Gosselin, who died in 2014 in a tragic car crash.

The Flyers host Banff for the annual memorial game and team Vice President Mike Bliss says he's expecting it to be an emotional evening.

"You know, the night's about remembrance and just making sure that people don't forget these sorts of things and the impact it has on people's lives."

He says the Gosselin family will be on hand for the event, which is expected to be a sell-out.

The team will also draw the winner of their beef raffle, with all the money raised going to the Eli Gosselin Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The evening gets going at 8 o'clock at the Rec-Plex.
