A good camp over the weekend for the High River Flyers as around 40 players came out looking for a spot with the club.

New Head Coach Tyson Avery says he was looking for talent in whatever form it took at camp, but says he has a strategy when it comes to building the team.

"I think we're looking to build from the "net out" this year, because we lost our goalie, Tyler Fornwald, to age. He as a big part of our team, so I think we're looking to build from the goalie to defence and then up to the forwards, which was our main drawback to players returning."

The Flyers open the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League pre-season Sunday, September 11 at 8 P.M. in Okotoks against the Bisons.

They'll play their regular season lid-lifter at home on September 16 at 8:15 P.M. when the Cochrane Generals come to town.
