Calgary Flames fans hate to lose to the Edmonton Oilers, even in the pre-season.

So they had to endure a double dose of humble pie Monday night as the Flames and Oilers played a pair of split-squad games in Calgary and Edmonton.

The Flames fell 3-1 at the Dome, while the other half of the club were 4-2 losers in Edmonton.

The Flames will try to regroup Thursday when they make their way to Colorado for a date with the Avalanche.
