Have I mentioned lately how much I am enjoying my coffee connections goal?  It's sooooo cool getting to know more people in the community.

In celebration of Agriculture Week I decided to get a few of the movers and shakers in the industry in for a coffee and ag talk.

Jody Seeley, Wade Nelson, Krista Ball and Terry Andryo

Cup #5 was with Terry Andryo from ATB Agriculture.  This guy is at almost all of the agriculture related events around Alberta.  He's an advocate and ambassador for those in the western way of life.  And his knowledge is out-of-this-world!  I think it's also very cool to see a business like ATB really care about our Ag industry.

Cup #6 was with Wade Nelson from Highwood Valley Ranch Beef.  He and his family ranch just west of High River. They attend farmer's markets in urban centres to promote, educate and share.  Chatting with Wade is one of my favs because he has such a great outlook on things and is well educated on so many topics. He's a community-minded man with an awesome family.  If you're looking for meat - call the Nelson's!! (lol)

Cup #7 was with Krista Ball from Calico Farms.  She and her family farm just east of High River.  I've never learned more in my life about chickens than when I am with Krista.  Plus I love her leadership and perspective and promotion of women in agriculture.  You may have met her at the High River Farmer's Markets this past summer...and she will be back.  But if you want farm fresh eggs check her out on facebook.

On my way to 150 cups!

ALSO - do you see this AMAZING Alberta table that we are at?  Isn't it amazing?  It was built for an A Seat At Our Table event last month to talk about ag in our province.  Following the event Terry gifted it to me to continue having conversations around it.  I LOVE IT!!
