Due to popular demand, the Drive-by Pies fundraiser from Sandstone Lodge in Okotoks is back.

The fundraiser debuted last year to great success, and they've been making even more pies for this year's event.

Meghan Smith, from the Lodge, says you need to get your order in by this Monday, April 2, so you can get your pie in time for your Easter dinner.

"We are doing our pick-ups on April 5th from 3 till 6 p.m. and April 6th from 10 till 12 or 1 to 3. Having said that though if those dates and times don't work for you, please get ahold of us and let us know and we can work something out.

You can choose from either apple or strawberry-rhubarb and the money raised is going towards new outdoor furniture and a swing seat for residents.

Smith says they're still doing the drive-by pick-up just like last year and all the pies are made fresh, then frozen so you can bake it at your own leisure.

"We are asking for a $25 donation. It's for a 10-inch pie, homemade by our staff in the kitchen and our residents. We were just making pies this morning pinching all the corners and getting them all ready. They are frozen, bake-at-home pies."

To order a pie you can email Meghan at meghan.smith@westwindscommunities.ca or call her at (403) 938-2879.
