After Wednesday's big come-from-behind victory against Medicine Hat, the Okotoks Dawgs (20-14) look to keep rolling as the Yorkton Cardinals (18-19) come to town for a pair of games.

With three straight wins under their belts, the Dawgs moved a game ahead of Medicine Hat for second place in the WMBL's Alberta Division.

The Dawgs and Cards last met on June 9 and 10, a pair of wins for the Dawgs, which can be looked at as a turning point in the season, kicking off a run of 14 wins in 18 games.

But, Manager Brett Thomas says just like the Dawgs, the Cardinals are a different team than they were in early June.

"They won again today (Wednesday), they beat Edmonton," he says. "They're playing really well, so yeah, anybody in this league, we've got to be able to bring it. They're hot, and they're coming in here probably looking for revenge from earlier in the year."

Thomas says no matter the opponent, his regime of "getting better every game" will never change.

"I know I sound like a broken record," he says. "But, honestly, if we just continue to do what we can do, I don't think there's anybody that can beat us. So, it's just a matter of us taking care of our own business."

After the addition of infielder Adam Touhey to the roster, Thomas says there won't be any more changes this season.

"This is the team we have, nobody's going to be moving in or out anymore," he says. "So, we've got our locker room of guys, and they're really starting to gel, and you can tell by the feeling of this dugout that we're just never out of any game."

First pitch, weather permitting, goes at 7:05.
