The Okotoks Dawgs scattered 12 hits enroute to an 8-2 win over the Regina Red Sox Thursday night at Seaman Stadium.

Bruce Yari was 2-for-2 at the plate for the Dawgs, driving in four RBI's, while Fielder Alex Gudac was 3-for-5 including an RBI, scoring a run and having two stolen bases.

Both in the same inning.

Gudac says they're full of confidence every time they come to the plate.

"We're 100% confident. You know we've got D.R. (Dave Robb), who's a great offensive coach and he really believes in us, and I think that's big as a player to know that your coach believes in you, and that you can hit the ball, bunt and do your job."

Dylan Nelson started for the Dawgs on the mound and was the ace he's been all season.

Nelson pitched a full eight innings giving up both Regina runs on six hits.

He didn't walk anyone and struck out seven.

Dan Grazzini came in to close out the game in the top of the ninth.

Grazzini held the fort not giving up a hit or a run and striking out one.

Nelson gets the win, giving him seven on the season which is tops among the Dawgs pitching staff.

The Dawgs and Sox finish up their two game series Friday night.
