July 14, 1953 – March 4, 2017

Mrs. Dawn Davis of High River, Alberta passed away into the arms of Jesus, after a long battle with cancer; surrounded by her family at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks on March 4, 2017 at the age of 63 years. Dawn is survived by her loving husband Ken; son Troy; daughter Heather (Oscar) Cruz; dog Hope; mother Mary Hawkins; sisters Terry (Rich) Parsons and Patricia Yurkoski; brother Bob Attwell; niece Melanie (Darry) and their children Jacob and Brenna Guglielmin; as well as other extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Harry Hawkins; and uncle Bill Attwell.

Dawn grew up in Calgary, Alberta and married her husband Ken in 1974. She was a committed, passionate teacher of special needs and elementary school students. The hours of volunteer work she did exemplified her selfless nature and love of God. Her loyalty to those she cared for knew no bounds.

We are heartbroken by the loss of this extraordinary wife, mother and friend. Her presence in our lives was such a blessing.

A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held on Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Full Gospel Church in High River, Alberta (1802-9 Avenue SE) at 2:00 p.m. To honor her vibrant spirit those attending can wear orange, her favorite color.
