A 31-year-old of no fixed address has been arrested by Claresholm RCMP after a two month crime spree in the area.

The suspect targeted the Faith Community Baptist church, the United Church, the Parallel Church, the Anglican church, the Church of Nazarene as well as the MyCityCare non-profit organization.

Cody Gorrell has been charged with:

  • Break, enter and theft x 4
  • Mischief under $5000 x 5
  • Theft under $5000
  • Break and Enter x2
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of Break and Enter tools
  • Fail to comply with condition of release document

The crimes were committed between August and September and Gorrell was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

He's been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial court tomorrow, Friday Sept. 30.
