The Okotoks Oilerhad a long night at the Max Bell Centre Friday night falling to the Calgary Canucks for the third straight time 5-0.

Andrew Marshall and Chandler Irvin had a pair of goals leading the charge offensively for the Canucks who've now won three straight.

Oilers forward Brayden Jenkins says despite having a depleted line up in Calgary his team didn't have any jump.

"They're a good team, they're better than they are in the past and we just took them too lightly these past two games and we need to comeback with a big game tomorrow," he says.

Jenkins says despite being scoreless after the 1st period, it just was working for the Oilers last night.

"We were feeling good going into the 2nd and then they got a couple quick ones n us and it went quiet in the room and kind of killed any momentum we had."

After Drumheller's win over the Calgary Mustangs Friday, the Oilers will now officially play the Canucks in the 1st round of the Gas Drive Cup playoffs.

It felt like a playoff war like atmosphere when tempers finally boiled over for both clubs.

Jenkins, along with Jordan Davies, Tanner Schachle and Reece Soukoroff were all involved in third period scraps with Dalton Ossman, Michael Spenrath, Parker Ward and Allan MacPherson.

The 16 year old hopes the team's frustrations will lead to a better effort against the same Canuck team Saturday night at home.

"We went out there and proved our point that we're not taking them very lightly anymore and we're come out hard and it's going to be a hard fought game."

Game time is 7 p.m. at Pason Centennial Arena.
