Kurt Bensmiller was a double winner at the Century Downs Casino Sunday, August 25, as he won both the World Title and the "Winner's Zone" title.

Bensmiller beat out Luke Tournier, Ross Knight and High River's Jordie Fike in the $50,000 "Dash for Cash" final, as well as edging Vern Nolin for the World Title.

He says Nolin pushed him all season long.

"He kept me honest again and if we'd have slipped up at all there's no way we could have caught him. I don't know if he had a penalty again this year. He's been driving good, he's got a lot of horsepower so he's not an easy man to beat. So, it's very rewarding when you beat a guy like that."

High River's Jason Glass and Okotoks Mark Sutherland, finished in a dead heat in heat five, and split first and second place money, worth $3,000 each.

Okotoks Driver's Dayton Sutherland and Chanse Vigen finished 30th and 34th on the day as the chucks wrapped up for another year.
