The Big Rock Bengals look to get back in the win column this week in the Calgary & Area Midget Football League.

The 2-1 Bengals battle the Raiders Thursday night coming off at 36-14 loss to the Colts in week 3.

Head Coach Bruce Marlow says the Bengals are ready turn the tide against the Raiders

"Last week we played a really good with a lot more depth than we have as far as numbers wise," he says. "We just needed a really good week of practice to install some new things to go against the Raiders with and hopefully we'll going into this week with a better result."

Marlow says both defences will need to be on their mark.

"They're going to come in with about 50 kids and they've had a solid defence all year and their offence has some tools that they're going to try and pull on us but we've got the guys ready for the challenge and we're going to come out strong."

He says despite the Bengals smaller roster it's just a number when your on the gridiron.

"When you have a roster of 50 kids only 12 can play each way each time. So you have 20 of those players that aren't really going to participate anyway. So when it comes down to it as long as our best athletes are doing what they're supposed to do we're going to challenge any team in this league."

Kick-off is 6:30 p.m. at Shouldice Park.
