He won the job in the off-season, now it's up to High River Flyers new Head Coach Tyson Avery to get the team together for the upcoming Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League season.

Avery says job one, is getting the players to buy into his vision for the team.

"That's the toughest part of being a coach, is getting your players to buy in. But once you show them how it works and it's starts to work. They have no choice but to buy in."

He says he's excited to be moving forward with the Flyers after having the "interim" label removed after taking the reigns of the team late last season.

Avery's looking forward to the challenge and wants to prove to the club, the players and the fans he's the man for the job saying it's nice to see they have faith in him.

The Flyers face their first test in pre-season action Sunday, September 11 in Okotoks against the Bisons.
