The seventh annual Indoor World Series Softball Championships happened this past weekend at the Calvary FC Fieldhouse.

There were 86 teams competing in 19 divisions to see who the best in their division is.

Joe Rose, who is in charge of Marketing, Promotions, and Sponsorships with NSA Canada Slow-pitch says this year's tournament was outstanding.

"Overall, we ran for almost four consecutive days without incident. It was just an incredible group of people that participated this year. Normally we have some challenges, whether it be a little too much excitement or lack of sleep, but without a doubt, there is zero comparison to history. This was the best group of humans we have ever had participate in this event," explains Rose.

Numerous players also helped out to make sure the tournament ran smoothly.

Of the 86 teams, only one team from Foothills County took home their division championship.

The Gators Softball Club of Okotoks won the CO-ED Open.

"NSA is so grateful to the community, to these ball players, to the [town of] Okotoks, to the county, just everybody. Just nothing but rave reviews and we are so proud and we're looking forward to going back," says Rose.
