There were about 30 vintage tractors competing at the High River Agriculture Society last Saturday, September 8.

The Curator at the Call of the West Museum, Allan Millard, helped organize the fall tractor pull, and says the event ran smoothly.

"I was very pleased. We never usually have a big event in the fall, but it was a real good event. We had lots of people show up, which was nice to see for the fall event."

Tractors are categorized into different classes based on weight. They then compete by pulling an increasingly heavy sleigh across a straight dirt path to see who's vintage rig ranks supreme.

Millard says, their next event is the Swap Meet at the High River Ag Grounds on Saturday, September 22nd, where people can trade and sell unwanted parts.
