UFA's Board of Directors has announced their new President and CEO who will lead one of the largest agricultural cooperatives in Canada.

Scott Bolton has been with UFA since 2014, and comes to the role after serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

He most recently took on the position of interim President and CEO following Carol Kitchen's departure from the company back in July.

The company says before joining UFA, Bolton spent the bulk of his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) where he was Partner in charge of the Alberta consulting practice and National Energy Leader.

"Bolton has a proven record of success in the agriculture, oil and gas, and mining sectors," they said.

Bolton says he's honoured to served UFA in this role.

"Together, our team will work to continue along our growth trajectory, as we lead the way forward into the company’s next 110 years."

Bolton was officially named to the role on Thursday, October 31.
