Last Saturday afternoon, a man damaged a police vehicle in Northern Alberta while trying to escape in a stolen tractor.

Barrhead RCMP responded to a complaint about a man and women on a rural property.

When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered the two had driven a stolen vehicle to the property, and the man and women had fled after the police had been called.

The woman was captured, but the man traveled through the brush, where he stole a tractor from a field.

The police set up a barricade to stop the man, but he escaped after ramming the vehicle with the front end loader of the tractor.

About 45 minutes later, the suspect attempted to avoid another road block by driving the tractor into the ditch.

The tractor got stuck, and the man was arrested.
