One of the most energetic farm shows is coming to Calgary on December 5th to 7th.

Founder of Agri-Trend, Rob Saik, says the Farm Forum Event is an extensive learning session for farmers.

Farmers attending the forum can choose their path in terms of what they're are going to learn, Saik says.

"We've got a technology stream, we've got a stream on business management and grain marketing, we've got another stream on agronomy and precision agriculture. There are a total of 77 breakout sessions for farmers to choose from, and on top of that, we've got six international keynote speakers coming in."

When all the acres of the farmers in attendance were added up at last year's Farm Forum, there were over six million acres in attendance.

Saik says, the focus of farm forum event is technology, transfer, and learning.

"Today's farmers are managing very sophisticated businesses, managing lots and lots of data, lots and lots of computer technology integration on their equipment, and the Farm Forum Event is designed for them."
