Maple Leaf Foods is looking at making some changes due to rising raw material costs in it's prepared meat business.

They have seen narrowed margins in this area of their business.

They earned $37.3 million in the latest quarter, which is up from $31.4 million a year ago.

Monique Marozzo, Communications Coordinator with Maple Leaf Foods, says consumers won't see any general price increase though.

She says they are managing trade investments in retail to offset the significant rise in input costs.

These changes will be implemented in the third quarter.
