Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) Agriculture Ministers are meeting in Vancouver, BC this week.

The Annual FPT Agriculture Ministers Roundtable is happening Wednesday, July 18 at the conference.

Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister, Lawrence MacAulay, was at the Calgary Stampede last week, and said they will discuss the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

"Thirteen Provincial and Territorial Governments, and the Government of Canada, and that in itself is a big deal to pull together. We have done that. What we're doing is finalizing the Canadian Agricultural Program (Partnership) which is worth billions of dollars for the agricultural sector right across this country."

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership replaced Growing Forward 2 in April of this year.

Alberta will be getting $406 million through the Partnership over five years.

Alberta Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Oneil Carlier, said he's also really looking forward to the event.

"There's always good business that gets done there. A big part of that is our Business Risk Management Suite of Programs that we're going to review".

Carlier says, the Provinces and Federal Government have been reviewing the Business Risk Management programs for one year.

The Annual Conference is taking place July 18 to 20.
