Women in agriculture will have the opportunity to network and be motivated at an upcoming event.

The Advancing Women in Agriculture Conference will be held March 26 to 27 at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary.

Host of the event, Iris Meck, says it's a great opportunity to be inspired by women who have reached great heights in their careers.

"We always wonder, how did they do that? How did they get to the point of where they are today in their career? This is an opportunity to hear that information. It's also an opportunity to meet women from all across the agricultural sectors."

They have a great line up of speakers, Meck says.

"Our speakers are all across the board. Listening how to benefit your health and balance your life, to being able to cope with mental health, and how to motivated in your day to day work, and then just hearing stories of successful women who have reached a great successful platform, and find out how they did it, to be inspired by what's possible."

Meck says, the conference will also feature workshops on how to become a coach or be coached, how to get on a board, and financial management.

Their first conference was held in April of 2014, and attracted women from six provinces and five U.S. states, representing over 130 organizations.

Meck says, they host two conferences, with the other conference taking place in Niagara Falls, Ontario in October.

She says, there is nothing better than getting motivated by a women who has the same passion in agriculture as you do.
