The Bolduc family has played an important role in the agriculture industry, specifically in the Angus breed.

Dyce Bolduc was recognized for 50 years of consecutive membership with the Canadian Angus Association. His family was honoured at their annual field day held Sunday, August 13, just outside of Stavley, AB.

Bolduc runs Cudlobe Angus with his wife Adrianna, along with their children Steven, Kevin and Kaitlynn. He was the president of the Canadian Angus Association in 2005, and is the third generation in his family to raise purebred cattle.

The first purebred Black Angus females were purchased from the Dispersal Sale of the Apache Angus herd at Nanton in 1967.

The family cares for over 600 mother Angus cows, and are busy showcasing their genetics in the show circuit.

The Canadian Angus Association says, it's because of hard working families like the Bolducs that agriculture is such a strong sector in Canada.
