A provincial organization based out of High River was at the Alberta Livestock Expo this week.

Alberta Farm Animal Care (AFAC) was one of the 120 booths at the event on Wednesday, October 10 and Thursday, October 11 in Lethbridge.

Communications Coordinator with AFAC, Kristen Mortensen, says they were telling attendees about their emergency livestock handling equipment trailers.

"There are 17 of them throughout Alberta and they're used in the events of a livestock emergency, like a barn roof collapse, a barn fire, a truck rollover and things like that. You can access them by calling 911 or by calling our Alert Line."

The number for the Alert Line is 1-800-506-2273.

There were about 320 people at the show on Wednesday followed by a large crowd of 530 people on Thursday.
