What does an Alberta Ranch and a Castle Have in Common?

Twenty Alberta farm families were honoured at the Calgary Stampede yesterday morning.

They received 2018 BMO Farm Families Awards, and among them was the Campbell family from Black Diamond.

Their families ranch name, the Tullichewan Ranch, comes from their Scottish roots.

Tony Campbell's great-grandfather was laird of the Tullichewan castle built in the late 1700's in Scotland.

The castle was demolished in 1954, but the family history lives on through the ranch.
