The 95th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair starts in Toronto today, and will run until November 12th.

The fair is the largest combined indoor agricultural and equestrian event in the world.

This year, the fair is attempting to host the world's largest goat yoga session on opening day. They did a sneak peak of goat yoga in downtown Toronto on Wednesday.

Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Lawrence MacAulay, will be delivering remarks at the opening ceremonies today as well.

Joining him will be MP for Markham-Thornhill, Mary Ng, where they will announce an investment for the Canadian livestock genetics sector, which will help open new markets like China.

Charlie Johnstone, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, says since it's humbling start 95 years ago, the Royal has grown into a beloved Toronto tradition.

"From top chefs and food producers offering the best in the farm-to-table movement to decorated Olympian equestrians competing for a place on The Royal podium, the Fair is a celebration and recognition of the best that Canada has to offer the world."

The fair will feature over 2,000 agricultural competitions such as, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, and poultry.

They will also have a farm to table discovery zone, and birds of prey demonstrations to show the relationship between farmers and these birds.
