"Lightning" Luke Tournier turned the barrels the fastest over the last four nights and walked away as the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Champion over the weekend.

He's also the new leader atop the world standings.

Tournier was more surprised than anyone he actually won it Sunday afternoon.

"Didn't think I was going to win it. I thought, I'm going to the three barrel, I'm probably not going to win it. But I thought, we'll be getting good points and just running clean and it worked out."

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 15th, but sit's sixth in the world standings, 111 points back of Tournier.

High River's Jason Glass falls into a tie for seventh spot in the worlds after his 27th place finish.

He's 112.5 points behind.

High River's Jordie Fike finished the weekend in 23rd spot.

The driver's now head back to the Foothills as they'll race from Friday to Monday at the Heritage Days Stampede in Strathmore.
