Jason Kenney Leads Trade Mission to India

United Conservative Party Leader, Jason Kenney, will be addressing market access on his six day trade mission to India.

Kenney left to India on Sunday, September 16 along with UCP Energy Critic, Prasad Panda, and Trade Critic, Devin Dreeshen, to meet with senior Indian government and business leaders.

Kenney says, he'll raise concerns about tariffs limiting Alberta pea and lentil producers' market access to India.

New Course Added to the Green Certificate Program

The Green Certificate Program will now include a poultry technician course.

The Green Certificate Program is an agricultural apprenticeship style program Alberta high school students can take to gain credits and practical training.

Other courses include bee keeping, beef production, equine, sheep and swine.

 

U of M Opens New Dairy Research Development

The University of Manitoba officially opened its new state-of-the-art dairy facility at the research station south of Winnipeg.

The 60 cow facility was made possible by contributions from Dairy Farmers of Manitoba investments through the Federal and Provincial Governments.
